Phosphalugel Oral gel in single dose sachets

Phosphalugel is an antacid. It reduces the acidity of the stomach, It is recommended for the treatment of pain, acidity or burning in the stomach or esophagus

Composition
Each sachet contains:
Colloidal aluminium phosphate gel
Excipients: Calcium sulphate dihydrate, pectin, agar, orange flavoring agent, potassium sorbate, liquid sorbitol (non-crystallising), purified water.
Phosphalugel does not contain sucrose (sugar).

Dosage
Adults and children over 6 years - 1-2 sachets 2-3 times a day;
- with gastroesophageal reflex, diaphragmatic hernia - immediately after meals and at night;
- with peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum - 1-2 hours after the meal and immediately if pain occurs;
- with gastritis and dyspepsia - before the meal;
- with functional diseases of the colon - in the morning on an empty stomach and at night.
If the pain resumes in the intervals between the doses, the reception of the Phosphalugel should be repeated.
Children:
up to 6 months - 4 g (1/4 sachet or 1 tsp) after each of 6 feedings;
after 6 months - 8 g (1/2 sachet or 2 tsp) after each of 4 feedings.

Duration of treatment
Taking more than 6 sachets a day does not usually confer any additional benefit. If a dose of 6 sachets a day does not provide sufficient relief, consult your doctor.

Contraindications
Do not take PHOSPHALUGEL oral gel if:
– if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to aluminium phosphate or any of the other ingredients of PHOSPHALUGEL
– if you have severe kidney problems.

Pregnancy and lactation
This medicine should be used with caution during pregnancy and while breast-feeding.

Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.

Over dosage
Excessive doses may cause constipation or even intestinal obstruction. Overdose is more likely to lead to effects in patients with impaired kidney function.

Storage condition: Below 25°C. Keep out of the reach of children.

Shelf life: 36 months.
