Preparation Instructions:
1. Boil Water: Start by boiling fresh, filtered water. A typical amount is about 200-250 ml (about 1 cup) of water.
2. Add Tea: Use a tea bag or a measured quantity of loose tea (usually 1-2 teaspoons if using loose tea) and place it in a cup or a teapot.
3. Pour Water: Once the water has boiled, pour it over the tea bag or loose tea.
4. Steep: Allow the tea to steep for about 5-10 minutes. This will help extract the flavors and beneficial properties of the herbs.
5. Remove Tea: After steeping, remove the tea bag if you used one, or strain the loose tea from the infusion.
6. Optional Additions: You can add honey or lemon for extra flavor and potential soothing effects if desired.
7. Enjoy: Drink the tea while warm. It can be consumed several times a day as needed, especially during times of respiratory discomfort.
Side effects:
·Allergic reactions (respiratory tract, skin) and gastrointestinal complaints may occur.
·There is also the possibility of cardiac arrhythmias and a non-inflammatory brain disease caused by high blood pressure (hypertensive encephalopathy).
·Preparations containing liquorice root (licorice) can have an impact on mineral metabolism, particularly when used for a long time. This manifests itself in the form of sodium and water retention, potassium loss with high blood pressure or fluid accumulation in the tissue, particularly when taken at the same time as heart muscle strengthening drugs (cardiac glycosides), drugs that increase urine excretion, laxatives or hormonal contraceptives. A reduction in the potassium content in the blood with muscle weakness and, in rare cases, loss of myoglobin (red muscle pigment/protein) via the kidneys can occur.
If you notice any of the side effects listed above, particularly hypersensitivity reactions (signs such as facial swelling or reddening of the skin associated with itching), fluid retention in the tissue and muscle weakness, stop taking HEUMANN Bronchial Tea SOLUBIFIX® T and consult your doctor so that he or she can decide on the severity and any necessary measures.
