Do not take Crataegutt 450 mg
If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to hawthorn or any of the other ingredients of this medicine

Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Crataegutt 450 mg.

If you have pain in the heart area that can radiate to your arms, upper abdomen or neck, or if you have difficulty breathing or if you have fluid buildup in your legs, see a doctor immediately.

Children and adolescents
Crataegutt 450 mg is not intended for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.

Other medicines and Crataegutt 450 mg
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using, have recently taken/used or might take/use any other medicines.
No interaction studies have been performed. So far no interactions are known.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, thinking you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

In the absence of sufficient data, the use of this drug during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended.

Driving and using machines
No studies on the effects on the ability to drive and use machines have been performed.

Crataegutt 450 mg is essentially sodium free
This medicinal product contains less than 1 mmol sodium (23 mg) per film-coated tablet.

2. How to take Crataegutt 450 mg?

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is:
Adults:
1 film-coated tablet twice a day.

Children and adolescents
Crataegutt 450 mg is not intended for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.

Method of administration
Oral use.
Swallow the film-coated tablet whole with sufficient liquid (preferably a glass of drinking water). It can be taken independently of meals.

Duration of treatment
If you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 2 weeks, contact your doctor.

If you take more Crataegutt 450 mg than you should
There are no known cases of overdose. In the event of an extreme overdose, it is advisable to monitor the heart and circulatory function.

If you forget to take Crataegutt 450 mg
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
If you have any further questions on the use of this medicine, consult with your doctor or pharmacist.

3. How to store Crataegutt 450 mg

Do not store above 30°C.
Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.

Do not use the medicine after the expiry date (EXP:) stated on the carton and blister. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.

4. What Crataegutt 450 mg contains

The active substance is a dry extract of hawthorn.
1 film-coated tablet contains:
450 mg dry extract of hawthorn leaves with flowers (Crataegi folium cum flore), drug-extract ratio 4-7:1 (extraction agent: ethanol 45% by volume)
The other ingredients are: maltodextrin, colloidal silica, microcrystalline cellulose , Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Sodium Starch (Type A), Stearic Acid 50, Hypromellose, Talc, Macrogol 6000, Titanium Dioxide (E171), Red Iron Oxide (E172), Purified Water.

Crataegutt 450 mg are pink, oblong, film-coated tablets and are available in packs of 50 film-coated tablets.
